Canvas works with Kids Country to devise a new approach to sponsors, identifying prospects and creating sales collateral to engage brands to support its educational programme.

Kids Country is one of the major charitable outreach initiatives of East of England Agricultural Society, connecting with hundreds of schools and tens of thousands of Key Stage 1 and 2 students across the East of England region.

The aim of Kids Country is to educate young students about the role of agriculture in the provision of food, so that children have a better understanding of how food gets to their table, as well as awareness of the importance of healthy, well-produced dietary fare.

This takes the form of a year-long programme integrating into the academic calendar comprising classroom visits, teacher supported initiatives and on-site events at The East of England Arena and Events Centre. This includes a Breakfast Week in January, Grow Your Own Potatoes (planting and harvesting), Outdoor Classroom Day, Bee Observatory Visits and the highlight of the year – Food and Farming Day at the end of the summer term.

Over the last decade its geographical reach has extended to London and the West Midlands – with nearly 10,000 students attending Food and Farming Day in Peterborough.

Canvas started to work with Kids Country in 2019, reaching out to clients in retail, food, transport and major finance and utility brands with a brief to engage partners at all levels for Kids Country.
