Canvas was commissioned by the Promoters of the Nelson Mandela Global Exhibition in Summer 2018 to find a sponsor for the London launch in February 2019 of a global touring exhibition which is scheduled to tour across Europe, North America, Asia and South Africa up to 2022.

The Exhibition is the Official Global Exhibition sanctioned by Nelson Mandela’s heir and grandson, and provided access to hitherto unseen items from the life of Mandela. London hosted the first leg of a highly immersive and moving depiction of the life of one of the greatest figures from recent history.

Canvas mounted an extensive engagement process to over 300 brands during the Summer/early Autumn 2018.

South African Tourism emerged as the front-runner for partnership late Autumn 2018 and Canvas devised a bespoke campaign making use of CRM, web-presence and an on-site interactive digital experiential activation to promote South Africa as a destination to continue the Exhibition.
